Yo-D’Lite is a mid-range yogurt flavored soft serve developed as a more economical alternative to our premium YoFrost. Still with a delicious flavor profile, Yo-D’Lite does not contain the same high percentage of dairy as in the premium YoFrost yogurt flavored soft serve. It is also only 97% Fat Free compared to YoFrost which is 98% fat Free - an obvious advantage for the health conscious consumer. Yo-D’Lite cannot legally be called ´frozen yogurt´.

Exported worldwide, Yo-D’Lite is a favorite in several Asian countries. Unlike the American yogurts, Yo-D’Lite is quite acidic (tart) with a delicious yogurt taste. It is smooth, creamy and tangy/tart but not quite as milky in flavor and as creamy as YoFrost.

Yo-D’Lite is often mixed with special fruit flavored syrups like mango, passion fruit, strawberry and wild berry to create delicious fruity yogurt tastes. Yo-D’Lite is ideal to be used as a base for making yogurt smoothies.

Packaging:  Yo-D’Lite powder base is packed in airtight food-grade, foil-laminate bags – 8 x 1.5 kg bags (or 12 kg) per carton.

Storage / Shelf Life: Storage is below 25º Celsius (77ºF) with a shelf life of 12 months. After mixing, it is stored below 5º Celsius (41ºF) and used within 3 days.

Yield: Each bag is mixed into 3.5 litres of water (so yield per bag is 5 kg).

Each carton yields 40 kg (~36.4 liters) of liquid base ready for freezing down in a soft serve machine.
 
This is equivalent to 536 serves of 75g (2.6 ounce) per carton (which is ~110ml or 3.7 ounce using a pump machine @ 60% overrun).
 
Alternatively, it will give a yield of 400 x 100 gram (3.5 oz) serves per carton.
 
Mixing is simple:
  • Pour water into graded mixing container.
  • Open one bag and add to water while whisking/whipping with a wire whisk/whip.
  • Stir until ingredients are fully dissolved.
  • Cover and stand for 10 minutes allowing ingredients to fully re-hydrate.
  • Pour into soft serve machine and freeze down and  ENJOY!
